The Gift of Height

Tall Girls,
If you have not noticed, your height is a gift.
Handle with care because if you do not than others will not either. Stand tall and embrace your gift.
Not everyone is given the opportunity!

Spring is Here! NOT!

I don't know about you BUT spring is not here in VA. It is like a clash of the seasons and I hate it.

The weather going up and down means the little people get sick along with me.

I am looking forward to the warm weather so I can complain so more....lol

I have also decided I would like to be cold versus hot. Because when you are cold you can bundle up but when you are hot and have to be outside, you cannot take off your skin to cool off.

Anyway at this rate, we might not have warm weather for a while here in VA.

We still have the beautiful trees though :)

I hope you all got to look through the Feb issue of the Tall Girls Journal. If not, you are missing some good information. You should check it out.

Volunteers are still needed too. If interested email: tallgirlproject@tinitiative.org. The writing material can be about anything you have experienced as a tall girl. I know I have many stories to tell but I prefer to hear them from other tall girls. This shows me that I am NOT ALONE in the sometimes struggle of being a tall girl.

More to come..................

Keeping up Positive Thoughts

Sometimes with life to include how tall I am, it can be very difficult to stay positive all the time.

I am grateful to those that follow the journal which is posted at http://tinitiative.org/Tall_Girls_Journal.html

It would have been posted on FB but as stated in a previous post they are giving me a hard time and my account is disabled for some odd reason.I am hoping those followers from FB remember this blog so they can have the journal for reading pleasure.

It was relaxing to create this 2nd journal and I was overwhelmed all that wanted to be a part of it.

If you were not in the issue this time around, resubmit your content and I will try to get you in the May issue of TGJ.

I thought the Feb 2011 issue was interesting and many had a lot to say (to include those that have been talking about their height for several years now).

As long as I am alive the journal will live. It relaxes me knowing that I am not alone and that I just might be helping the spirits of discouraged tall girls.

Enjoy my sisters in height!!!

Thank you!!

Eventful Day

For the last few days I could not catch up with my editor for the journal.

Talk about someone freaking out??? Yup! That WAS me.

It just so happen that there are some really intelligent people participating in the journal and I was able to find a back-up editor. If you all could see me, you would see me jumping for joy and simulataneouly trying not to hit the ceiling fan....lol....

I want to thank you all again for all of your feedback and discussion.

I foresee the journal becoming more and more interesting with each issue.

Thus far the Feb 2011 issue is on schedule and will be coming out via email on 2/28.

If you have not checked out the November issue you can go to the top of this page to be redirected to the link!

Looking forward to the input AND volunteers to contribute to the May issue by writing on donating monies to the cause!
