The discussion of how tall girls feel about being called giants and amazons has come up on the blog.
What are your thoughts ladies?
I, personally, am desensitized to the many names people call tall girls; therefore I don't really have an opinion at this time.
BUT
When I was younger, I actually played into the words as a means of feeling accepted. I would say things such as, "I am a giant", just to ease the tension of the many comments and stares.
Can any of you relate to this?
Just how healthy was my approach to feel accepted?

I think it also depends on the girl and how she considers her height. Maybe she doesn't care with that at all but usually they don't like being called giant, amazon etc...
By the way I am a tall guy (196cm/6'5.2) so party I can understand the problem.
A lot also depends on who's saying it, too. If it's said by someone the tall girl is familiar with -- and she knows toe comment is meant to be endearing -- that might be fine. From a complete stranger...that's something else entirely.
You are right. Coming from a stranger makes it a lot worse than from someone that loves me.
I just looked at one of the sites you have listed on the site and Kat obviously agree that amazon and tall girl go together. It is a word of endearment. Nothing to get all bent out of shape.
But then again Amazons were wild women who wore little clothing.

I totally know what you mean!! With me it depends how "in the mood" i am. I love to display my height and be dominant at those times!! :)
Well I'm 6'2. I have been called a giant, godzilla, tall, jolly green giant, pretty much everything you can think of for as long as I can remember. and I love it! First of all, everyone notices me and loves the confidence I have with my height. I don't think anyone ever says it and is trying to hurt my feelings, I think literally everyone is amazed my how tall i AM. And second of all, I am huge! but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. I don't know, if you don't like standing out then I could see how it could be annoying. But when you are blessed with height, you should want to flaunt it.
Their are some fairly extreme fetish communitys out there that really cater to the amazon thing, guys that want domination etc from large women or even want their women tall as a power pole. There's some kind of crushing fetish to but I'm not sure exactly how that works. I'm not judging these people it's just their sexuality. I think a lot are like me though a larger woman just heightens the whole effect it's like if you notice a woman's curves, lips, lashes etc your attracted for some men bigger, means more so that seems to be the way it is with me, it's like turning up the radio,till it just shakes your ear drums, I have laughed at my self the effect some of these women have on me.
Those knuckleheaded cretins with the psychotic dominatrix fantasies make me sick- they give us regular shorter men who like taller women a bad name. I don't want to be squashed under the heels of the "50 Foot Woman", and anyone who thinks they can "Dominate" me is in for a very rude awakening...I'm interested in creepy stuff like being In love, and being loved in return for who I am, and with me, for who "She" is any daydreaming I ever did regarding this matter was always very romantic in nature, no crazy stuff

I'm 511 and 160 pounds skinny and thin and my woman is 6'4 and 212 pounds with very very very very long legs big jiggly thunder thighs and big huge calve muscles also big long feet I love it
